When and how did you start becoming a storyteller?

Brahim Daldali:
I started becoming a storyteller when I met my Maalem (Master) Mokhlis back in 2015 in Fes.

Zouhair:
I was invited by a friend, to give a speech in a student conference in university and as generous as I am I brought another speaker (Sara Kchirid) and vouched for her not knowing that I was playing on one of my destiny’s instruments.

Long story short, the conference was never organized, but Sara noticed my passion for public speaking and suggested that I become a storyteller. The latter sounded COOL enough for me to say ‘Yes! How do I do that’. She arranged a meeting for me with Haj. Ahmed Ezzarghani may he rests in peace, one of the renowned master storytellers in the kingdom of Morocco.
The meeting felt good, the master gave me his approval and I became his apprentice and my story began.

Mohsine Touel:
The first story I ever told is five years ago when I was an English teacher and tutor for visually impaired students, I was teaching a student individually named Salah and I integrated a story in the lesson to make it fun and interesting, I noticed then how happily he reacted while listening to  the story, at some point I feel like the words I utter, are the eyes through which he saw a beautiful word, he wished I would not stop. It was an eye opener experience knowing the value of stories and their positive influence on people.
